  • States of Matter: Gases and Liquids — No States of Matter unit. Gas laws and ideal-gas behaviour appear nowhere in the twenty chemistry units.
  • Hydrogen — No Hydrogen unit. The word occurs only as hydrogen bonding and hydrogen halides inside other units.
  • s-Block Elements — No s-Block unit. Conspicuous rather than silent: p-Block (Unit 10) and d- and f-Block (Unit 11) are both listed and the alkali metals are not.
  • Environmental Chemistry — No Environmental Chemistry unit. "Environmental" occurs once, describing effects of chloroform and DDT within Organic Compounds containing Halogens.
  • Surface Chemistry — No Surface Chemistry unit. Adsorption and colloids appear nowhere.
  • General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements — No unit on isolation of elements; neither metallurgy nor any extraction principle appears.
  • Polymers — No Polymers unit. "Polymerization" occurs only as a reaction of alkenes and alkynes.
  • Chemistry in Everyday Life — No Chemistry in Everyday Life unit. Drugs, soaps and detergents appear nowhere in the chemistry syllabus.
  • Mathematical Reasoning — Absent from the fourteen mathematics units. Logical connectives and truth tables appear nowhere, and no listed topic depends on them.
  • Linear Programming — Absent from the fourteen mathematics units. Graphical linear programming appears nowhere.
