Reading the site

There are no accounts, no advertising, and no tracking by Google, Meta or anyone else. Reading this site sets no cookies.

Two things are kept in your own browser and never sent to us: the exams you star, and whether you chose the light or dark theme. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

When a page is requested, we record which page it was (including what you chose on it, such as which exams you compared), whether it loaded, your browser type, and the page you came from. We do not keep your IP address. We keep only the network it belongs to, and a code that tells two visits on the same day apart. The code changes at midnight, so it cannot link today's visit to tomorrow's. We use these records to count readers and find broken pages. They are deleted after 90 days (automated crawlers after 14).

Asking for a session

The form at plotyourcareer.com/sessions is the only place this site asks who you are. It asks for your name, email address and WhatsApp number; whether you are a student or a parent; the student's class; the kind of session and the profession or subject you are interested in; your preferred language and time; and, if you want to add one, your question. It also records the network your request came from, so that spam can be blocked.

Your request is stored on our server, hosted by Hetzner in Germany, and a copy is emailed to the people who run the sessions through Brevo, an email delivery service.

We use these details to arrange your session and for nothing else. They are not sold, not shared with anyone outside the people running the sessions, not added to a mailing list, and not used to send you anything you did not ask for. If you want them removed, write to us and they will be.

If you are under 18, please tell a parent or guardian you have asked. They are welcome on the call.

Our YouTube channel

We use YouTube API Services to upload our own videos to the Plot Your Career YouTube channel. This does not give us any information about people who watch them. Watching or commenting on YouTube is covered by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted: write to plotyourcareer@gmail.com. If we change what this page describes, we will update it and change the date at the top.
