• All 45 Class XI chapters — No Class XI unit appears in any of the three syllabi. Physics is nine units running Electrostatics to Electronic Devices; chemistry is ten running Solutions to Biomolecules; mathematics enumerates Class XII twice, once as the compulsory Section A1 and again as Section B1. Mechanics, thermodynamics, oscillations, waves, the organic basics, trigonometry and coordinate geometry appear nowhere in any of them.
• Surface Chemistry — No Surface Chemistry unit among the ten. Adsorption and colloids appear nowhere.
• General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements — No unit on isolation of elements; neither metallurgy nor any extraction principle appears.
• p-Block Elements — Conspicuous rather than silent: d- and f-Block Elements is Unit IV and Coordination Compounds is Unit V, and the p-Block that sits between them in the curriculum is absent.
• Polymers — No Polymers unit. The ten units end at Biomolecules, and polymerisation appears nowhere.
• Chemistry in Everyday Life — No Chemistry in Everyday Life unit. Drugs, soaps and detergents appear nowhere in the chemistry syllabus.

Not examined is not the same as not needed. The paper sets no question from Class XI, but every Class XII chapter on it was built on one: the organic chemistry assumes the naming, bonding and mechanisms taught in Class XI, and the physics assumes its vectors and calculus. Class XI is off the question paper, not off the reading list.
